The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Manager (Data Development) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead a team of data experts in the delivery of quality data services in an agile environment
- Develop a professional, competent, and collaborative team that responds to stakeholders
- Drive standards, design processes and uplift team technical capability to ensure the efficiency and assure the quality of data and analytics services
- Provide high quality analysis of complex health care data to support strategic and operational decision making
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded
- While not mandatory the following are highly regarded:
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and familiarity with data profiling and modelling techniques.
- Experience in the development of end-to-end business intelligence solutions using tools such as Qlik, Power Pivot, SSRS, Panorama Necto, Power BI and Crystal Reports.
- Experience with clinical and patient administration systems, such as the Hospital Based Clinical Information System (HBCIS) and the integrated electronic medical record (ieMR).
- Working knowledge of statistics, mathematics and/or machine learning concepts.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Evidence of vaccination, and remain vaccinated against - COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $135 456 - $143 329 per annum

Data Operations is one of five directorates providing digital services within the division. Data Operations mission is to build, support and maintain industry leading data assets that enable clinical practice improvement, digital transformation, and analytics across Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. Based in Southport.
