Our Australian Government client is a law enforcement agency responsible for offshore and onshore border enforcement, investigations, compliance, detention operations and customs services in Australia.

They professionally administer two high-risk, high value contracts with a combined value of over $3.1bn. Their primary objective is to ensure the efficient, effective, economical and ethical expenditure of public money through the management and administration of service provider contracts.

These roles will be responsible for directly contributing to services support, service delivery and several other key aspects including contract management and administration for the Commonwealth’s contracts and Memorandum of Understandings.

You will provide a range of administrative, procedural and operational support services to the team, including record keeping and reporting using departmental systems. These positions works in a dynamic, complex and sensitive environment and will need to maintain close relationships with a range of internal and external providers. You will be required to work both collaboratively in a team and on their own in a self-directed manner.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Ability to support (APS 5) or manage (APS 6) contracts and agreements with varying levels of complexity and identify potential risks
- Ability to support the engagement (APS 5) or engage (APS 6) effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding the management of agreements
- Demonstrated ability to support the monitoring (APS 5) or monitor and analyse (APS 6) performance and financial reports
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues in a high pressure environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and to work quickly and independently when required
- Ability to respond clearly and comprehensively to urgent requests Exemplify a high level of personal integrity, be a team player, and have the capacity to lead through consultation and engagement
