**Job Description**:

You will work closely with the HR Manager APAC to improve the HR service experience by supporting the delivery of the People Strategy. You will also be accountable for ensuring reliable HR Services and advice in each of our local operations.
The HR Advisor role is a high visibility role in the People team and IG's open culture will enable you to put forward your ideas to enhance our activities and help develop new initiatives based on your experience, thinking and external research.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include the below focus areas:
1. Process Ownership and Continuous Improvement
You will do this by supporting the HR Manager APAC in embedding the HR Operating model by:
- Collaborating with the HR Operations team on processes that impact all aspects of the employee life cycle- Critical analysis of processes and proactive approach to process improvements to ensure reliability of service delivery- Act as escalation point for HR Operations team for complex operational queries (e.g., secondment, visa, regulatory or other localised operational queries)2. ER case management and HR Advisory- Provide generalist HR Advisory to our Line Managers, as well as advisory on ER case management including operational and administrative support (e.g., disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, dismissals, long term sickness, occupational health, investigations, redundancies etc.)
3. Projects initiatives- Support country specific initiatives aligned to the People Strategy (e.g., OHS, Wellbeing, Return-to-Office initiatives etc.)
4. Supporting global initiatives- Support the HR Manager APAC and collaborate with specific client groups to contribute to cyclical or critical projects (e.g., Spotlight Awards, Engagement Survey, D&I initiatives, Annual performance management)
5. Ad-hoc operational responsibilities- Coordinate general administrative duties across HR and facilities as required

- Delivering projects of varying complexities on time and with a high standard of quality- Working with a high degree of autonomy- Resilient in complex work environments with moving priorities- Ownership of processes, including seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement by raising ideas, identifying gaps and challenges- Managing ER cases and general HR Advisory autonomously- Stakeholder management at all levels of hierarchy within the organisation across the region- Proactive and astute in raising concerns with the HR Manager in a timely manner- Clarity and knowledge of HR fundamentals learnt and developed through your career to date

Where you’ll work
While you’ll be based in our Melbourne office (55 Collins Street), you’ll be working with our global teams all over the world, especially closely with in Singapore, China, India, Japan, Poland the UK.
As part of our hybrid working environment, you’ll split your time between home and the office but will require 2 days a week in the office to collaborate with colleagues and the wider Teams.
