**Your Opportunity**:
**As the Business Intelligence Platform Administrator you will**:

- Manage and implement processes for administering the Strategy and Performance (SP) Business Intelligence (BI) platform to ensure availability, accessibility and performance.
- Provide advice on issues and action recommendations relating to the effective administration, management, utilisation and improvement of the Business Intelligence platform.

The Business Intelligence Platform Administrator reports to the Director, Performance Monitoring and Reporting Unit, Strategy and Performance Branch, Policy, Performance and Planning Division.

**About the Role**:
Your part in the ongoing success of our business supporting key frontline systems will see you responsible for leading, and performing, a variety of work including but not limited to:

- Administer enterprise and branch information systems, including the Centre Information System (CIS), Schools Directory, Phone Directory, Job Management System and the Performance Analysis and Reporting Systems (PARS) environment.
- Analyse and improve processes and procedures used within the team whilst developing work procedures to ensure successful service delivery.
- Identify operational risks, and provide analysis, design and implementation of system monitoring and reporting.
- Build and manage relationships between Information & Technology Branch (ITB) support staff, customers and stakeholders, and engage in a continual process of identifying business requirements, dependencies and risks.
- Undertake change management activities associated with system support, such as user testing and documentation.
- Ability to use departmental tools (such as MS SQL, Excel, Power BI) to retrieve, analyse and present data.

**About You**:

- Whilst not mandatory, skills in the following would be an advantage:

- the administration of Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint
- the Microsoft BI suite.
- knowledge of the SAS enterprise guide and visual analytics would be an advantage.
