This enables us to produce actionable intelligence to inform Queensland Government stakeholders, enhance security posture and support incident response and threat mitigation efforts.
Responsibilities Use the intelligence cycle to plan, collect, analyse, and disseminate cyber threat intelligence products to Queensland Government stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into targeted collection tasks that align with their priorities and intelligence goals.
Actively monitor a wide variety of intelligence sources—including OSINT, dark web, trusted sharing circles, and government systems—to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to Queensland Government.
Develop detailed threat actor profiles and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) leveraging the MITRE ATT&CK framework to improve detection and response capabilities.
Regularly engage with external intelligence-sharing communities and government partners to exchange information and strengthen collective cyber defence.
Maintain and curate the Queensland Government Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform, ensuring the effective ingestion and sharing of threat intelligence for Queensland Government entities.
About you A strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically, assess complex information, identify patterns and trends in large data sets, and produce clear, evidence-based conclusions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A highly collaborative and team-oriented attitude, with a proven ability to build relationships and work effectively across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
Self-motivation and initiative, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering contextual, accurate, relevant, and timely intelligence.
Intellectual curiosity and adaptability, with a passion for learning and staying ahead of evolving cyber threats and adversary behaviors.
