AP+ is intended to create a more efficient and agile payments group, building the competitiveness of Australian domestic payments infrastructure, and delivering significant benefits to Australian consumers and businesses.

**About the role**
The Strategy Analyst will be an integral part of the Strategy team and will be working alongside the Head of Payments Strategy and the Strategy Lead.

The purpose of the Strategy Analyst role is to help drive corporate strategy and help the business make better decisions. The role will solve key business problems by asking the right questions, conducting analysis and gathering data to support a hypothesis.

You will have exposure to all business areas at AP+, and work with business leaders and teams across all areas of AP+ to support identifying key business needs and challenges and developing plans to address them.

You will have the opportunity to work in an organisation that is newly formed but has products that are long-standing and critical the Australia’s payment infrastructure, together with innovative products that have the potential to define the payment landscape in Australia. You have the freedom to innovate, and be creative and you should be willing to challenge the status quo.

**Key Responsibilities**
- The Strategy Analyst will be:

- A strong problem solver with the ability to logically structure analysis
- Thoughtful, curious, future oriented, collaborative, analytical and data oriented, and will have outstanding financial acumen
- Able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions and lines of business
- Able to handle a variety of tasks around strategy development, strategy planning / roadmap, new business initiatives and investments choices, standards and capability development. These tasks include (but are not limited to):

- Collate and analyse complex business and commercial information from internal and external sources
- Provide support in the completion of market analyses, including segments, trends, products, synergies, and gaps
- Identify, aggregate, and analyse data to communicate market and resource trends
- Analyse competitors and customers to provide data-driven recommendations
- Help develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics

**Experience Required**
- Graduate-level education with a business degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- 2-5 years of experience in Consulting/internal corporate strategy experience is highly preferred
- No payments or financial services-specific knowledge is required but would be preferred
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability for conceptual and strategic thinking
- Ability to quickly produce high-quality slides (Powerpoint) and models (Excel)
