Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior planner to join our team and work on our Albury to Parkes Project (A2P). Our Senior Planner will ensure the effective delivery of works to Martinus standards. This role will work in conjunction with project leadership to identify construction requirements, estimate construction durations and ensure that all tasks are aligned with the contractual requirements of the project.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively identify and analyse critical path activities and their constraints and schedule vacancies that will put key milestone dates at risk.
Monitor efforts to update schedules and takes corrective actions to keep the project on track.
Develop and manage resources schedule to ensure coordination and planning of resources.
Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to management on major milestones, including the new status of schedule, S-Curves, 6 weeks look ahead report, changes, and EVM report.
Identify issues and risks of projects, and their potential impacts and performed risk evaluation.
Reschedule project plans in line with changes and delays.
Create project scheduling and design agreements.
Ensure information in project plans is accurate and updated as required.
Create efficient schedules for the execution of projects.
Assess and report on resource activities and requirements.
Collaborate with members of the rail services/construction teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects in line with Martinus standards.
Perform quality control checks on projects in progress.
Monitor projects for compliance with safety and zoning regulations.
The Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and experience in rail or infrastructure
Minimum years of experience in a senior planning position in a construction or rail environment
Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Highly effective planning, organising, and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
