The "Region Safety and Quality Lead" role at nbn is a key position accountable to the Field Region General Manager. The role is responsible for implementing nbn's Safety and Quality framework within the Field region, supporting staff in maintaining safety and wellbeing, and ensuring consistent execution of quality and compliance frameworks across the region. This role also contributes to the development of Quality Assurance workflows and the evolution of nbn's Operations Quality and Safety Frameworks.
A significant part of the role involves driving change based on audit insights, facilitating continuous improvement, and leading a transformation program for Region Safety and Quality. The role acts as a single point of contact for the region, consolidating a continuous improvement roadmap for Field Services. It also drives a quality and innovation mindset across the region, coordinating with senior stakeholders and managing multiple work streams. The role is also responsible for prioritising the work pipeline based on business outcomes and monitoring risk/action/issue/decision registers for the region.
A bit about you
You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills as well as a proven track record demonstrating and leading a Safety & Wellbeing mindset in a matrix organisation. A strong understanding of WHS legislation including Safe Worth Method Statements, Risk Management and Contract Management is also essential to the role. Any certifications/ qualifications in Safety and Quality are an added advantage.
