Contracts and Bids Manager

**The role**:
Reporting to the Operations and Services Director, the Contracts and Bids Manager’s primary purpose is to ensure that all contracts entered by the company meet Iota’s commercial and legal requirements and adhere to relevant company policies and procedures. The role will also be involved as required in contract negotiations with suppliers, sub-contractors, partners and customers.

The role will continually look to improve the management and governance oversight of all contracted services, bids and proposals, including the ability to enhance the win ratio for bids and proposals and the performance outcomes achieved from contracted services.

The role will provide professional and technical advice relating to bids and proposals, and the procurement and provision of services.

**Who are you?**:

- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and manage different contract types, technical and commercial risks and interpret contract specifications;
- In-depth knowledge of project and contract management procedures with the ability to review and enhance existing policies, principles, processes and procedures;
- Effective interpretation of customer requirements to produce compelling proposals;
- Extensive experience in bid/project management for large and complex projects;
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate bid/project teams;
- A proactive and creative problem-solving approach with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to negotiate and influence people at all levels;
- Ability to mediate across multi-functions and multi-disciplinary teams and achieve agreed objectives;
- Strong results orientation and a track record of delivering major bids / projects on time, within budget and meeting quality standards;
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop effective strategies to deliver solutions; and
- Ability to self-manage and coordinate priorities while working with mínimal supervision.
