Test Analyst

**Position Summary**:
The Test Analyst will collaborate closely with the Test Lead to identify software and hardware defects, assess system capabilities against defined requirements, and collaborate with relevant departments to address issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze system designs and contractual requirements to determine suitable test criteria.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios to validate system and device functionalities.
- Assist the test team during testing activities, providing necessary support.
- Actively participate in test team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.
- Document and report discovered bugs and defects to relevant departments, collaborating on resolutions.
- Maintain meticulous records of the system testing process, ensuring proper documentation to validate testing procedures.
- Provide regular updates to managers on project progress, issues, and any encountered challenges.
- Potentially facilitate customer or user witnessed testing processes with professionalism and proficiency.
- Prepare and deliver both interim and final test reports for project managers.

**Essential Role Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years in the field.
- Proficiency in creating and executing test cases and plans.
- Familiarity with test case and defect management tools like Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in minimizing defects in software releases.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Interpersonal skills, willingness to share knowledge, and collaborate with others and departments.
- Detail-oriented and diligent with a focus on accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to find effective resolutions.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Customer liaison experience, including witnessed testing.
- Ability to work fully on-site from the office, especially during test execution, as testing requires the use of various devices and there are restrictions on the movement of these devices.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours for collaboration with global teams.
- Willingness to travel overseas.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in Transportation or related industry testing.
- Understanding of payment card technology.
- Prior experience in V-Model projects.
- Past involvement in system test & integration and hardware development projects.
- Test automation experience with tools like Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow, FitNesse, JMeter, UL Brand Test Tool, etc.
