Role Overview:
The dental office bookkeeper and administrative manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative operations of a dental office. They play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing office budgets, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Process and track patient payments, insurance claims, and reimbursement.
- Monitor and manage office budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
- Prepare and submit tax forms, financial statements, and reports as required.
- Collaborate with external accountants or financial advisors as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee administrative tasks, such as appointment scheduling, patient registration, and record-keeping.
- Manage dental office supplies inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and train administrative staff, providing guidance and support.
Communication and Customer Service:
- Interact with patients, insurance providers, and vendors to resolve billing and administrative inquiries.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with patients and staff.
- Handle patient complaints or issues in a timely and respectful manner.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and administrative tasks.
**Requirements**:
4 year Bachelors Degree in Business management, administration, accounting, finance or related field
- 1 year Proven experience as a bookkeeper or administrative assistant/officer r in a dental or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and administrative tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of dental office procedures, insurance billing, and relevant government regulations in relation to dentistry
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $42,760.00 - $50,112.09 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to Relocate:
- Perth, WA: Relocate before starting work (required)
