**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Asset Management team for a dynamic Project Control Officer, who is dedicated to maintaining an overview of the entire Capital Project portfolio for current and future years.
Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Management, this role will be responsible for projects being generated by various departments or revenue sources such as Plan of Management, Council resolutions and departmental requests. Our Project Control Officer will also act as a gatekeeper for capital projects prior to these being handed over for construction by ensuring that the projects comply with all requirements of the Project Management Officer framework.
The successful applicant will require:
- Formal qualifications in Project Management
- A minimum of two years relevant experience in a Project Management Officer environment
- Hands on project delivery experience within a large and complex project environment preferably in civil infrastructure and or building construction works
- Experience in managing complex issues to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Be familiar with project management methodologies and the full project lifecycle
- Be proficient in using the suite of Microsoft products, including Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
- Have a good working knowledge of key project processes, including status reporting, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, quality gates and change management
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Class C drivers licence.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Auburn Depot, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range $82,409 TO $94,770 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
