Safety Systems and Governance Manager

**About The role**:
The SHEQ Systems and Governance Manager role is accountable for overseeing implementation of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) management systems, framework, processes and programs.
The successful applicant will be delivering an integrated SHEQ program across the Transport sector for employees and contractors to comply with applicable legislative, certification, accreditation and governance requirements.
In addition, manage pre-contract SHEQ contributions, and contribute to the successful submission of work winning efforts and provide accurate, insightful reporting to the business.
**More specifically your role will cover**:
- Contribute to the compliance of the Sector with third-party certifications, accreditation and self-insurance requirements
- Monitor SHEQ Incident Management implementation inclusive of internal and external notifications, Event investigation outcomes and classifications
- Develop, maintain and review the Transport sector SHEQ risk register
- Verify and validate that project plans are in place and current
- Manage SHEQ pre-qualifications and keep abreast of legislative changes as relevant to the sector
- Contribute to the Transport sector SHEQ strategy and ensure Systems & Governance goals and objectives are aligned to the Group SHEQ strategy
- Allocation of resources to ensure all project Systems & Governance requirements are addressed
- Identification and development of SHEQ continuous improvement initiatives guided by trend analysis
**About You**
You will have relevant OH&S qualifications, ideally working in the construction, transport / roads industry or similar, accompanied with extensive experience in a similar role.
You will also possess:
- Ability to analyse data and implement strategic objectives
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Operational experience (desirable)
- Technical experience in systems used (e.g. Solv, SharePoint)
- Experience in delivering systems and training
- Understanding of and experience with external and regulatory audit regimes
