This role will ensure a culture of safety and quality on our sites, as well as maintain compliance with management systems. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across for our people in the surface / underground environment.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Provide leadership that encourages Work Health, Safety & Environment throughout site to create a continuous improvement culture and implement best practice management systems in the workplace
- Act as the Return-to-Work Coordinator for South Australia
- Undertake regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management team
- Prepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site’s compliance
- Provide active management of workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management and return to work programs
- Reporting any workers compensation matters to Management
- Ensure that all people work sensibly, safely and abide to all WHS & Environmental Acts and Regulations
- Conduct random D&A testing on site
- Identify health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, conduct investigations and develop solutions for implementation

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Must reside in South Australia or be willing to relocate
- Diploma OHS qualified or Minimum of Cert IV WHS and TAE
- Internal Auditing training (preferred)
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards and code of practice
- D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain
- Return to Work Coordination Qualification desirable, but PHE will offer this training if needed
- Previous experience in a HSE Advisors position working on Industrial Electrical construction projects highly regarded
- Sound Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong Safety Leadership
- Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail
