As a Business Manager, Power Protection, you will be the local business leader responsible for Commercial (sales and marketing) activities and Portfolio Management in Australia for the Power Protection portfolio. This includes development and implementation of commercial strategy, overseeing business development activities and, responsible for profit and loss (P&L). This role reports to the Marketing & Sales Manager for Smart Buildings & Smart Power, AU & NZ.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Implements the Portfolio/Product Group and commercial strategy and ensures business development, including profit and loss (P&L).
- Ensures development of performance targets in line with global and local targets and ensures achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
- Evaluates market opportunities and decides appropriate activities in line with the strategy.
- Continuously develops and manages the products, solutions, systems and/or service portfolio to achieve and secure market leadership.
- Ensures the integrated commercial success of the organization to drive business growth and market share, enabling the organization to achieve its short, mid, and long-term performance and growth objectives.
- Ensures profitable business growth in the Australia market
- Oversees execution of high-quality products, services and processes.
- Monitors quality metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversees improvement activities
- Ensures the execution of projects according to agreed targets in terms of schedule, quality, financial results and customer satisfaction.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
- People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized,staffed, skilled and directed.
- Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
**Your background**:
- Significant Power Protection product portfolio knowledge and business experience.
- Deep domain experience in Power Protection in the Australian market.
- Experience leading a team.
- Managing P&L, including profitability.
- Preferred, Electrical Engineering degree/background.
