Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer with Sage Micropay experience to join their team asap

The Company

Our client based in Lower North Shore of Sydney and is currently seeking for a bright and hands on Payroll Officer with Sage Micropay experience to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced but ambitious Payroll Officer, to join dynamic & supportive firm. This is an ongoing temporary contract, can go permanent for the right person.

The Role
- Processing the collection, calculation and entering of payroll data in Micropay
- Entering employment information such as new starters, promotions, transfers and exits
- Ensuring end-to-end payroll fortnightly payroll for 700 employees (Multiple companies) including producing payslips and EFT file, ensuring that overtime, adjustments, penalties and sick leave are correctly entered
- Ensuring that wages are allocated to correct cost centres and validate general ledger account numbers
- Processing Superannuation and provide relevant remittance information to Accounts Payable to facilitate electronic remittance in a timely manner
- Ensuring the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery only when approved, leave management and reporting are accurate, delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation and company policy

**Your Profile**

- End to end payroll processing experience
- 3-5 years of work experience using Micropay
- Experience dealing with Payroll Tax and Workers compensation
- Quick learner and excellent comms
- Advanced Excel skills
- Able to independently resolve payroll queries
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
