SIL4U is a new company based in Western Melbourne and is currently experiencing rapid growth. With a thriving participant base and an expanding team, we’re actively seeking dedicated, professional, and compassionate individuals to join us in support work careers.
We assist participants with various physical and mental health disabilities, ranging from children to older adults. Our mission is to hire individuals who align with our company values, understand diverse participant needs, and deliver high-quality support.
**About the role**
As a Disability Support Worker on our team, your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living skills, facilitating social and recreational activities, implementing health-promoting practices, and empowering participants to achieve their goals. You’ll work with individuals with varying needs, from low to complex, including medication assistance and managing complex needs. Prior experience and professionalism are strongly recommended.

- You will be a valued team member helping to provide services to support clients’ individual needs in both their home and community

**Additional Responsibilities Include**:
- Establish positive relationships and collaborate effectively with staff, participants, their families, and friends to achieve positive outcomes and ensure smooth service delivery throughout participants’ plans.
- Facilitate communication with participants’ families and friends to explore new goals, promote empowerment, and effective communication.
- Enhance participants’ skills through active support, promoting independence and personal development.
- Deliver high-quality and professional support aligned with participants’ plans and needs.
- Assist participants in accessing their social communities, engaging with friends and social groups to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
- Implement strategies and programs to develop and enhance participant skills, identify areas requiring increased support, and create opportunities for goal achievement.
**About You**:
You take pride in providing excellent customer service to your clients and possess strong communication skills. Your enthusiasm, organisation, and punctuality contribute to your friendly and genuine care for the clients you assist.Job Types: Casual, Part Time or Full time opportunities
Pay: $32.5-36 per hour

**Experience**:
- Disability Personal Care: 6 Months (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
- NDIS Screening Check (required)
- Certificate 3 or higher in individual support (aged, community or in-home) (required)
- Covid Vaccination Certificates (required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (required)

Pay: $32.50 - $36.00 per hour
