**Applied Abilities provides the following services**
- Adult Group Activities
- Youth Group Activities (12 -18-year-olds)
- Employment Support for all ages
- School Leavers Employment Support (SLES)
- Social and Community Access

**As part of the Applied Family working with our participants you will**
- Promote and assist participants to develop independent living skills
- Assist participants to access the community
- Support/assist participants in the home
- Support participants in the workplace
- Assist our participants to become work ready
- Be prepared to get involved during group activities
- Get creative - cooking, craft etc
- Have a sense of humour and a positive attutude
- Be compassionate, reliable, keen and happy to work across multiple participants with varying needs

**Experience/qualifications required**
- Experience within the industry (disability, youth work, individual care) _or_
- Studying a related field at university ie. Nursing, Teaching _or_
- Certificate III in Disability Support or Aged Care
- General Life Experience
- Experience with challenging behaviours

**You will be required to have prior to commencing**
- First Aid Certificate and CPR (current)
- Current Open Driver’s license
- Own car and full comprehensive insurance
- Working with Children Card
- NDIS Worker’s Screening Clearance
- Current Police Clearance
- Hourly Rate: As per the SCHADS Award

- Springwood QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
