About the role*
The primary role of the Participant Service Liaison is to act as the intermediary between AbilityLiving-MyWay, participants, families, informal supports, and support workers, guaranteeing information is communicated and exchanged effectively to ensure positive outcomes in our service delivery. This role ensures that the support provided is in alignment with the participants personalised care plan in a way that optimises achievement of their goals.
- Tasks and responsibilities in the role include: _
- Participant management, this includes attracting new participants, reviewing participant satisfaction, maintaining records and regular communication.
- Develop and maintain participant service schedules that are supportive of Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Prepare and manage a participant’s service schedule in line with the plan period, issuing and reviewing service agreements.
- Liaise with Support Coordinators regarding budgets, review efficiency of services.
- Provide service updates to Participants, Families, Informal Supports and Allied Health.
- Monitor NDIS Plans for remaining budgets and service delivery according to participant goals.
- Assist with a range of HR functions such as compliance, recruitment, induction, and staff meetings.
- Assisting the Allocations Team with matching participants to suitable support workers, ensuring services are covered, yet remaining compliant with relevant industry award.
- Participate in after hours On Call roster (including rotating weekends).

- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that are based on the individual needs and choices.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Use and learn new technologies including CRM’s.
- Knowledge of the SCHADS Award / Expertise in the interpretation of Awards.
- Provide tailored person-centred support to empower individuals through high quality meaningful services.
- When unexpected changes arise, be able to problem-solve and act with rationality and resilience to achieve an outcome.
**To be considered for this position you will meet the following Essential Selection Criteria**:
- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality professional support to people with a disability.
- Experience and an extensive knowledge of NDIS service requirements.
- Be able to remain self-disciplined in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.
- An understanding of the person-centred model with the ability to display empathy while remaining professional.
- Proven experience working collaboratively in a team environment with the ability to build and maintain working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong time management and problem-solving ability.
- High level computer literacy skills in particular MS Office products.
**Required**:
- First aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable transport.
- National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC).
- COVID-19 vaccinations.
