**About the role**
The Quality Control Coordinator is accountable for overall management of the site Quality Management System (QMS) and supporting operations to produce quality products within specifications such as
- Ensure the Site QMS is maintained in line with the Client Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Ensure the Site maintains its ISO 9001 Certification
- Assist operations to ensure production meets and exceeds quality requirements
- Lead continuous improvement at a site level

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

- Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain audit schedule, conduct audits independent of the production team, and other assurance activities including FSR’s, JRA Observations and Management Inspections
- Represent the Site during external audits
- Maintain the currency of all equipment calibrations and the calibration register
- Maintain and ensure currency of the Non-Conformance Register, together with reporting and driving corrective and preventive actions to completion
- Represent the Site at the monthly Quality Leadership Team meeting
- Review and process incoming raw materials documentation, and ensure suppliers met the requirements
- Site Operations
- Report on Quality KPI’s, interpret data, and drive improvements, corrective and preventative actions
- Follow through on set processes and adhere to best production practices and product quality standards
- Attend management meetings and report on Site Quality KPI’s, issues, trends and solutions
- Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analyses for investigating quality and process issues
- Inspections
- Visual inspection of raw materials
- Regular inspection of defects and associated paperwork to help inform decisions and actions
- Flag any unusual product observations and analytical results while analysing or sample handling
- Deliver and administer training for inspection crews
- Conduct Quality Toolbox Talks at pre starts
- Comply with established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies
- Coordination
- Identify and lead opportunities for improvement initiatives
- Project management of relevant minor capital projects
- Run trials for potential improvement initiatives
- Communicate targets to relevant team members and provide guidance to meet or exceed targets
- Create a collaborative working atmosphere
- Support daily, weekly and monthly quality testing, inspections and procedures
- Report results, issues and roadblocks to the Factory Manager
- Interact regularly with management, production and outside agencies in all plant operations

**About You**
- QA experience in a manufacturing environment (concrete, food, heavy industrial, mineral processing)
- Experience in operating under and maintaining an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience on Microsoft Office platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage staff and stakeholders
