**CONTEXT**
Resurrection Catholic Primary School provides a contemporary Catholic primary education for children within the Resurrection Catholic Parish, Kings Park.
In partnership with our students, staff, parents, parishes and the wider community, Resurrection Catholic Primary School gives witness to the Christian faith in our Catholic tradition. We aim to be a positive, creative, hope-filled learning community where Catholic values and spirit are shared and the sacred dignity of each person is nurtured.

Resurrection Catholic Primary School requires a leader in the areas of wellbeing, child safety and community that will continue the development of an excellent learning community where wellbeing and safety is at the forefront of what we do by creating positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
At Resurrection Catholic Primary School we follow the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Model. PBL is a Whole School Framework that promotes positive behaviour across the school as it helps to develop safe and supportive learning environments. The PBL values at Resurrection Catholic Primary school are **Respectful, Responsible and Resilient.**
**MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY and KEY CRITERIA**
**Wellbeing Leadership**
- Being a member of the school executive leadership team and leadership team
- Leadership in embedding the principles of positive education in the implementation of the school’s approach to student wellbeing via a partnership with _The Resilience Project_
- Lead the fortnightly Wellbeing Team meetings with the Learning Diversity Leader, Speech Pathologist and School Counsellor
- Meeting with teachers regarding student wellbeing matters
- Management and support of student behaviour issues as required including initial response and follow up
- Develop, manage and implement MACS behavior plans for individual students as required
- Organisation or presentation at parent information evenings on Wellbeing topics
- Lead staff meetings in the area of Wellbeing, PBL and Child Safety
- Recognise and actively promote the partnership of parents in the education of their children via the school newsletter
- Provide structures and processes for developing and working in partnership with parents in ensuring the wellbeing of their children
- Attend school meetings as required such as Executive, Leadership, LSO and PSGs meetings
- Work closely with the Learning Diversity Leader to ensure the needs of all students are identified and supported in regard to wellbeing
- Work closely with the school’s Counsellor and MHiPS teacher to ensure the needs of all students are identified and supported
- Develop and oversee, in partnership with the school Executive team, a school student leadership program
- Ensure staff fulfill their responsibilities and the school expectations with respect to student wellbeing with the support of the Principal
- Provide effective and creative leadership in the development of authentic relationships between staff and students.
**Positive Behaviour for Learning PBL**
- Understanding Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and the leading the continued development of PBL to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments for staff and students
- The ability to analyse PBL data to highlight trends so as to monitor developments in students and provide feedback and plan for continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with team leaders to plan for behaviour learning opportunities based on data and the school’s PBL Matrix
- Lead and support staff around behavior management according to the Resurrection PBL Matrix and behaviour flow chart.
**Child Safety.**
- As the Resurrection Child Safety Officer, you will be the main DFFH (DHS) contact
- Monitoring the school’s Child Safety, Wellbeing and Student Management Policy and liaising with parents as appropriate
- Ensure school policies and practices are consistent with contemporary practice and promote a safe and supportive workplace
- Lead mandatory reporting in terms of initial reports, follow up and training of staff
- Support and comply with the implementation of Resurrection’s Child Safe Policy and Code Of Conduct, and other school policies and procedures relating to child safety
- Liaise with the school's Compliance Officer regarding Mandatory Reporting etc.
