Treasury Specialist

We are currently seeking a Treasurer that will achieve Hitachi's corporate business goals by assuring the financial and operational treasury needs of the organization are achieved. We are seeking someone with experience in similar roles, who is meticulous and has a high attention to detail with refined interpersonal and communication abilities. This role will be based in our Rivervale office. This is a permanent opportunity with immediate start.

**Accountabilities include but are not limited to**:
**Cash Flow**

Monitoring, controlling and forecasting the current and future cash flow and banking process by:

- Controlling cash flow including monitoring of daily position, forecasting future requirements and cash flow reporting;
- Ensuring cash book transactions are recorded and cleared in SAP in a timely manner;
- Maintaining bank facilities requirements including review and monitoring of financial covenants, operational support, managing bank guarantee and forecasting of future requirements.

**Foreign Currency Accounting**

Monitor, review and account for foreign currency transactions and risks by:

- Ensuring foreign currency control and risk management including review of foreign currency transactions, identification of foreign currency exposures, external hedging of transactions and foreign currency reporting;
- Accounting for foreign exchange impacts in accordance with International Accounting Standards;
- Monitor and manage the hedging and embedded derivatives schedules.

**Banking Liaison**

Establishing and maintaining a business relationship with the company banks by:

- Liaising with banks regarding the facilities offered and required;
- Managing and uploading the HSBC online payment system and uploading electronic files in SAP;
- Organising new and manage existing bank guarantees.

**Financial Reporting**
- Preparing monthly actual and rolling forecast treasury and accounting reports from SAP and integrate in to Microsoft Excel reporting templates for distribution to stakeholders;
- Loading monthly actual and rolling forecast cash flow results into Oracle Hyperion EPM software;
- Liaising with other company departments in the preparation of periodic forecasting and budgeting.

**Other responsibilities**
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for all treasury balance sheet accounts;
- Analysis of movements in treasury related general ledger accounts;
- Consider accounting implications of new business activities and impact on reported profitability and balance sheet;
- Liaising with external and internal auditors during the year;
- Facilitating all banking payments and clearing transactions in SAP.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Contribute to the development of the culture of continuous improvement;
- Monitor and contribute to the compliance and development of accounting policies and procedures;
- Continually reviewing and putting forward ideas to improve the processes and procedures.

**Monitoring, Compliance & Analysis**
- Ensuring compliance with Hitachi accounting and reporting requirements;
- Maintaining integrity of the accounting and financial reporting systems (SAP and OneStream);
- Conduct analysis on forecasts and budgets as required;
- Analyse working capital past and future needs.

**Skills and experience**
- Ideally 3+ years in a similar role.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- SAP Accounting Software.
- Oracle Hyperion Financial Management or similar EPM software.
- Knowledge in project control and project management.
- Formal, procedural and ad-hoc report writing and presentation skills.
