Accounting Assistant Role

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining treasury operations, and providing financial support.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong focus on attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Key skills include ERP experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage Australian payroll processes, deadlines, compliance, and employee queries in collaboration with external payroll providers.
  • Prepare payroll journals, reconcile to the general ledger, calculate leave provisions, and support payroll tax, SHE, and workers compensation reporting.
  • Perform DSO calculations, reconcile receipts, monitor debtor aging, and prepare regular cash collection and cashflow reports.
  • Set up payments, support bank-related projects, and assist with group treasury system requirements.
  • Assist with ABS surveys, audits, customer record updates, and continuous process improvements in finance reporting and treasury
