**Disability Support Worker**

Assist Support Services is a fast-growing Disability Support Service. We are passionate about the work we do and support clients with all different types of disabilities, including physical, intellectual and mental health illness. We are looking for motivated and experienced individuals to support children and adults with disabilities to actively participate within their community and home life. We currently have vacancies working with our clients in Eastern Suburbs and Inner City locations.

Joining our dynamic and friendly Disability Support Team provides you with the opportunity to support individuals within all areas of their life, such as participation in recreational and social activities and assisting with their quality of life.

Shifts vary anywhere from 2 hours to 12 hours in duration. Day and active overnight shifts are available, and we have 24/7 client rosters.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern
- Experience supporting people requiring high physical support (Personal Care, Catheter Care, PEG Feeding, Hoisting)
- Experience working with clients with ABIs and Cerebral Palsy - preferred but not essential
- Clear and effective communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management
- Initiative and self-motivation
- A positive and professional approach
- Relevant qualifications are highly desirable; however, someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be considered
- Ability to work shifts after 2:30pm
- Availability to work a variety of shifts - morning, day, afternoon, evening and weekends
- Willingness to work shifts 2 - 3hours in length.

- Cover Letter & Resume
- Current Certificate for First Aid (HLTAID003) & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001)
- Evidence of eligibility to work within Australia (Australian Passport/Australian Birth Certificate/Australian Citizenship Certificate or International Passport & Visa)
- A copy of your Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employer)
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance prior to your commencement.
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
