**Role**

As an Underwriting Manager Motor - Vic/TAS s a market facing role and is accountable for driving profitable growth in the Motor portfolio through the implementation of the Zurich Motor underwriting strategy

Core responsibilities include:

- Lead the Market Facing Underwriting team for VIC and TAS Motor. With high level of engagement with customers & brokers
- Responsible for market performance and P&L of VIC and TAS Motor portfolios. Responsible for achieving all Plan KPIs as agreed with the National Underwriting Manager Motor (incl. business unit planning & budgets)
- Ensuring VIC and TAS segment-specific business needs, opportunities and gaps are understood and addressed through collaboration with Underwriting and other functions.
- Positioning self within the organization as a positive change leader, and work with the National Underwriting Manager Motor and the CUO and other LoB Heads to achieve operational transformation and alignment of the Commercial business.
- Advocate of change transformation including adopting our sustainability strategy.

**Important to your success**
- Experience in Motor Underwriting & Commercially astute with a comprehensive understanding of the general insurance industry
- Proven technical underwriting capability and technical leadership
- ANZIIF CIP member or equivalent & Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate qualifications
- Proven strong market facing presence particularly with local International Broking market
