The Opal Recycling business at Botany, NSW are looking for an Account Manager to join the team.

Opal Recycling offers a range of Recycling services including collections, equipment supply & servicing, staff education and training, account management and reporting to cater for a wide range of businesses, from small to medium enterprises through to large supermarkets chains. Opal Paper and Recycling is one of Australia’s largest cardboard recycling operations.

As an Account Manager you'll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts as well as driving new business growth within the region. In this role you will be out meeting customers face to face, negotiating contracts and prospecting for new business opportunities.

The key focus of this role will be to:

- Maintaining and continuously growing and improving existing customer relationships
- Working closely with customers to develop & deliver recycling solutions specific to their needs
- Take a hands-on approach to managing client relationships and develop a deep understanding of their business needs
- Prospecting and hunting for new business relationships and customers within your region

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Some sales or account management experience, ideally with recycling or waste management industry knowledge
- Plenty of self-motivation and the ability and willingness to work autonomously without much supervision
- A strong sales mentality, and be results and KPI driven
- Enthusiasm and passion for building relationships and delivering exceptional customer service
- The ability to thrive and articulate your point of difference in a highly competitive market
