**About us**

Onemda is registered NDIS service provider, we’re passionate about supporting adults with intellectual disability in learning and in life. For more than 50 years, we’ve been delivering a unique mix of learning and therapeutic services which support participants to maximise their wellbeing, achieve their goals and reach their potential.

We are looking for a Part Time **Disability Educators in the Northern suburbs** **(Glenroy and Westmeadows)** who will be responsible for delivering high quality programs and support in response to the needs and interests of participants.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Developing and delivering programs that are outcome focused and meet participant goals and aspirations
- Conducting program risk assessments to ensure the safe delivery planned activities.
- Mentoring and enabling Educator Supports to deliver high quality programs safely and effectively.
- Supporting participants to engage in recreational and learning programs.
- Ensuring the well-being and safety of participants, and exercising duty of care to participants, staff and members of the community.
- Working cooperatively and maintaining effective communication in a manner appropriate to participant needs.
- Providing personal care in a responsible and safe manner.
- Working closely with families and engaging in planning meetings to ensure participants goals are being met.
- Ensuring participants’ care plans and other documentation is kept up to date and reviewed annually or as required.

**Eligibility**:

- **Full Drivers’ License**:

- **NDIS Workers’ Screening Check**:

- **Cert III in disability or equivalent experience**:

- **Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS sector and your role in it.**:

- **CPR**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $31.00 - $39.00 per hour

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
