Strong Financial Analyst required by NSW Govt Team - focus on project contract analysis & process improvement

A high profile government organisation that manages key community assets across NSW requires an experienced Financial Analyst for this specialist project role.
**Your new role**
Working in the Project Team based in Parramatta, this role will lead the review and implementation of new contract frameworks for all service providers of this large Government program to help standardise and improve financial requirements, processes and reporting in line with legal and compliance requirements.
Key duties will include:
- Analysis and review financial terms and conditions of contracts - in particular in relation to GST rebates and Insurance requirements of projects and service providers
- Developing and mapping out a process to claim GST rebates
- Developing insurance protocols and responsibilities
- Mapping and implementing processes for Service Provider Lease Agreements
- Identify, analyse and implement financial frameworks and processes across various departments and projects to standardise financial requirements of service providers / suppliers
- Process documentation and communication of new financial process frameworks and reporting requirements to internal and external stakeholders
- Financial Analysis of contract compliance and reporting to identify and improve budget management and cost savings
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong financial and data analysis experience ideally within a government organisation that has implemented new contract and reporting frameworks
- Business Process Modelling experience - Ability to lead the review, mapping and communication of new finance processes for approval by various stakeholders
- Cost and Risk analysis of new financial processes
- Strong knowledge of GST reporting processes, insurance and other tax requirements in relation to supply of community based services, infrastructure projects or managing / maintaining assets
- Ability to lead the implementation and to embed new contract frameworks and processes, supporting stakeholders while changes are being adopted.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial terms and reporting requirements to a wide range of project stakeholders and service providers
