**About the role**:
We are seeking a **Maintenance Officer** to join the friendly and supportive team at our Juniper The Residency Residential Aged Care Facility in** Northam**. Juniper the Residency is a 45 bed facility with a homely atmosphere and community feel.

The purpose of this role is to provide general building maintenance services to ensure the site remains functional, safe and presentable. This will include general maintenance of grounds, buildings, fittings and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform maintenance duties as required while ensuring economical and safe use of resources
- Maintain facilities in accordance with policies and strives to meet outcome standards related to the condition of the physical environment
- Respects residents’ private property and their right to privacy
- Maintaining fixed assets using appropriate trade skills, tools or outside providers as necessary
- Applies the principles of planned preventative maintenance
- Maintains knowledge and skills in accordance with the required competencies of the position

**Key requirements**:

- Trade qualification relevant to the construction and maintenance or buildings and equipment (desirable)
- Understanding of current OSH and legal requirements
- A current Australian driver’s licence - required
- Demonstrated experience in building maintenance and related areas
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively without supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
