Due to internal promotion, we are seeking Merchandise Projects Analyst on 12-month FTC based in Heatherton, Victoria who will be responsible for leading the Merchandise solution for IHG business projects, primarily focusing on product data, pricing and vendors.

Primary objective (per project) is the delivery of an efficient and dynamic solution which supports growth of the IHG wholesale business, our independent members and Suppliers.

What you’ll do

Able to support the Merchandise Projects Manager in successful delivery of IHG business projects
Works collaboratively with respective stakeholders including the IHG Merchandise Leadership Team. At times team members will be required to support project deliverables - with engagement to maintain appropriate balance between project requirements and standard daily task deliverables
Regular executive project updates to the Merchandise Operations leadership team and IT steering committees
Influence solutions that support growth of the IHG wholesale business, our Members and our Suppliers - to challenge and escalate when required
Works collaboratively with IT team members to deliver solutions that meet agreed business objectives
Ensure quality outcomes for the business, including precise definition of requirements, successful user acceptance testing and able to utilise change management principles to identify all stakeholders, impacts, communication and support to embed and sustain ongoing benefit.

What you’ll be

Pragmatism with a bias for action, be comfortable with uncertainty
Analytical acumen; ability to visualise, articulate, conceptualise and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information
Advanced computing skills with specific reference to Microsoft Excel
Executive briefing; ability to summarise data providing creditable and business beneficial top line recommendations with detail available in a professional useable format
Strong knowledge and understanding of suppliers, departments and products relative to the hardware industry
Strong ability to communicate, educate and influence decisions in accordance with key accountabilities and responsibilities and ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-changing environment, with limited supervision, working to business deadlines.
