Melbourne, Australia Aurecon Group Full time

Want to bring ideas to life?

You’re in the right place. We’ve been a leading design, engineering and advisory company for decades. So why choose Aurecon? It really comes down to one, crucial question: what kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? Truth is, the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything - from the local community to the sustainability of our clients’ businesses - to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?

What will you do?

Aurecon’s Victorian Environment and Planning team have a strong capability from project planning and feasibility to construction on a wide range of projects across both Victoria and Australia. You will play an integral part in a team that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across the built environment, transport, land and water, energy and government sectors.

You will be required to undertake a mix of field based and desk-based work, with the requirement to travel and work in regional areas on occasion. You will be involved in cultural heritage work for a range of projects, particularly in the renewable energy, transport and Defence sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

- Undertaking cultural heritage impact assessments and identification of appropriate management and mitigation measures across a range of projects
- Leading projects and small teams of cultural heritage and/or environmental professionals to deliver high quality heritage assessments and reporting with exceptional technical and editorial standards, and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Engaging with clients and senior members of design teams to effectively scope and prepare proposals
- Bringing your strong networking skills, with the ability to communicate well across teams and with clients and regulatory agencies to achieve desirable project outcomes
- The desire to grow with a team of like-minded cultural heritage professionals to respond to market demand for these services

What can you bring to the team?

At Aurecon, we believe that diverse experiences foster diverse thinking. You will hold, at a minimum, a Bachelor degree with a major in Archaeology, along with working knowledge of Commonwealth and Victorian legislation and policy. A current Victorian driver’s licence is essential, and a Defence baseline clearance will be highly regarded.

How will your future be shaped by us?

You really can bring your whole self to work and be confident your voice will be heard. We don't just claim we're inclusive and innovative, as proven by the independent awards and accreditations we've gained. We've been recognised for our innovation culture, gender equality and our LGBTI+ inclusion. Plus, we have a robust Reconciliation Action Plan - our fourth edition since 2014.
