**About the Opportunity**

We’re excited to offer a key leadership opportunity overseeing all severe and complex mental health services within headspace Southport. In this impactful role, you’ll provide day-to-day operational oversight and mentoring to staff to deliver clinical excellence. Your guidance will shape service quality, ensuring young people receive the highest standard of support during life’s most challenging moments.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Services Manager (Youth Mental Health), this is your chance to:

- Guide a high-impact team and elevate clinical outcomes for vulnerable young people
- Represent headspace’s complex services in senior-level stakeholder meetings
- Champion quality improvements and clinical governance
- Lead audits, manage complaints, and uphold compliance
- Oversee budgeting and ensure contract delivery targets are metCollaborate on PHN reporting with the Data and Projects Lead

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. The salary ranges from $119,093 - $124,073 plus super. Salary packaging options are also available to increase your take home pay.

**About You**

You’ll bring a passion for youth mental health and a proven ability to lead with integrity. You're a strategic thinker and empathetic mentor, committed to excellence and ready for a challenge.

**We’re looking for someone with**:

- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership skills to provide clinical leadership and manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong understanding of youth mental health and evidence-based clinical practice
- Proven ability in delivering personalised, high-quality interventions
- Financial and operational skill to manage services that meet performance benchmarks
- Adaptability and creativity in leading local change initiatives
- Highly developed and demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and negotiation skills, with experience and capacity to manage multiple, simultaneous key stakeholder relationships, some with conflicting priorities.Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act and Children, Youth and Families Act
