**About the Role**

Reporting into the Strategic Procurement Manager, the position of Category Manager is responsible for engaging with key stakeholders to ensure an appropriate Category Strategy is continuously improved and maintained. Importantly, your expert knowledge will provide insights into the market of suppliers and how the supply chain can meet the strategic needs of Babcock Australasia. To this end, you’ll lead the key sourcing activities for each suppliers’ category.

**What you will bring**
- Strong leadership skills working across cross function teams
- Managing change while influencing the business and leading complex negotiations
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement or Business Management
- Previous experience in strategic sourcing, category management and procurement experience, with a minimum 1 year in category management
- Degree in a business, procurement or supply chain related discipline
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Membership level or studying towards; or Australia Supply Chain Institute (ASCI) Certified Course or working towards
