**Job description**

Great opportunity to join our supportive team in a leading cardiovascular group with expansion of our patient services team in our Bankstown location.

**About the role**

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and efficient individual to join our busy Bankstown Heart clinic as a Casual Patient Services Officer. This role works collaboratively as a member of our support team to provide a positive patient service experience for patients and their families.

Responsibilities include;
- Supporting all patient services provided to Bankstown Heart patients and their families
- Liaising with hospitals and other Medical Practitioners
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing Doctors schedules
- Providing a high level of administrative and reception support
- Supporting all healthcare professionals operating at Bankstown Heart including doctors and sonographers
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organization of our clinic
- Following up on reports and correspondence from external providers
- Completing billing for all patient services undertaken in the clinic and liaising with various health providers and Medicare
- Co-ordinating patient hospital bookings and procedures
- Performing ECGs, Holter monitoring and BP testing
- Any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time in order to meet patient requirements.

**About you ;**

You will be an enthusiastic and professional individual who enjoys interacting with patients and providing excellent customer service, as well as have;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload;
- Proven experience working effectively both independently and in a team environment, a natural collaborator;
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and approach;
- Ability to deal tactfully in all situations and interactions, demonstrating empathy and patience even whilst under pressure;
- Strong computer skills;
- Previous customer service experience is essential;
- Experience in healthcare or other service industry is highly regarded but not essential
