**About The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sourcing Manager to join our strong Procurement team in Newcastle. Reporting to the General Manager - Procurement, you will execute Whitehaven Coal’s Procurement strategy and conduct tenders for goods and services at an exciting time for the company.

**What You'll do**
- Conducting contract negotiations
- Negotiating supplier pricing,
- Reviewing spend levels
- Reducing commercial risk for the company and
- Helping deliver sustainable procurement outcomes.
- Regular travel to the Gunnedah Basin will be required.

**What You'll Bring
The successful applicant will possess:

- Qualifications in Procurement/Supply Chain or related discipline
- Proven track record in Procurement and/or contracts administration
- Strong negotiation skills and experience leading tenders
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- A good understanding of mining, resources or construction industry
