This industry-leading company based in Greater Western Sydney seeks a professional Payroll Team Leader who can be at the forefront of their business and lead the team. This business is passionate about what they do and embraces new approaches to work and learning. This position offers flexible working hours and WFH.

**The Role**

As the Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll functions with a small team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing and ensuring wages are processed in line with multiple Awards and assisting with processing when required.
- Manage all month and year-end reconciliation, journals, reporting, and statutory returns required.
- Monitoring the performance of the payroll system and coordinating updates and ongoing maintenance and improvements as required
- Work closely with the Payroll Manager to improve processes.
- Ensuring that final pay is submitted within the timelines of the business.
- Ensures the accurate calculation, payment, and reconciliation of employee entitlements, PAYG tax, superannuation contributions, and termination payments; validates payroll system calculations

**You must have**:

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support staff.
- Experience using Preceda and Kronos time and attendance.
- Understand the end-to-end payroll process and thrive on stimulating change and driving positive impact.
- Understanding of EBA's and multiple award interpretation.
