Chandler Macleod are currently recruiting a Learning and Development Partner for a NSW Government Agency. 12 Month Contract $650-$660 per day plus super.

The role is responsible for executing the development, review and implementation of learning and development strategies, programs and practices to develop the capability of the Agency workforce to operate effectively in alignment with the business strategy and capability plans.

The role will be responsible for partnering with managers and senior leaders within the Agency, Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Learning and Development to support the delivery of learning and capability development throughout the entire employee lifecycle. The role is responsible for partnering with, and providing SME advice to the aligned business area to implement learning strategies to meet future workplace needs through improved leader and employee performance and productivity.

Key accountabilities
- Lead, champion and drive the development of the learning and development plan, ensuring strategic organisational priorities are met and aligned to the broader business training strategy and capability strategy at the program level.

outcomes and the executable training plan to meet program and business objectives. This includes in-depth understanding of:

- Learning Design, Operations, Delivery and commercial funding models at a Federal and State levels to facilitate these training strategies in a commercial sustainable way
- Adult learning principles
- Emerging digital learning strategies
- Manage stakeholder and program portfolios with the business across a range of leaders up to Director level, influencing strategic decisions to drive appropriate learning outcomes against the organisational priorities for all learning types across the employee lifecycle
- Lead a cross-functional L&D team to design and build a compliant training program while tracking delivery against agreed programs of work at a learning program level including:

- Developing Learning Proposals
- Partnering with the Instructional Design & Content team throughout the build of the Learning Assessment Strategy and learning product
- Ensuring sound educational design for adult learners and achievement of learning outcomes to ensure we meet the business expectations
- Accountability for the development of all learning programs, end-to-end throughout the development, deployment and business as usual (BAU) phases.
- Drive appropriate design and utilisation of accredited learning programs through the Registered Training Organisation.
- Ensure business mandatory training requirements are identified and sufficiently accounted for in the business training strategy.

Key challenges
- Working in a complex and changing environment with significant executive sponsorship and expectation, while ensuring that all requirements are captured and consistently translated into high-quality people strategies and solutions.
- Leading the business in a proactive planning approach that can drive people management, capability growth in current and future roles/skills as well as drive divisional/agency cultural transformation.
- Influencing others to achieve high levels of quality and effectiveness in the design and deliver of learning solutions.
