**The Role**:
We are currently recruiting for casual Mental Health & Disability Support Workers, who are available for Supported Independent Living & Community clients based in Greater Brisbane area (specifically Caboolture and Glass House Mountains) and other various North Brisbane locations.
This role will involve:
- Building and maintaining trusting and meaningful working relationships with our clients, their circle of support and the community.
- Assisting in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans that enable our clients to set and achieve personal goals.
- Facilitating community inclusion and participation and supporting our clients to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues, and services.
- Encouraging positive and socially appropriate behaviour, and effectively manage challenging behaviours.
- Providing personal care where required and personalised support in accordance with the personal plan.
- Servicing the the Greater Brisbane area, including; Paddington, Carina Heights, New Farm, Nundah, Chermside, North Lakes, Narangba, Redcliffe, Caboolture, and Glass House Mountains.
**About you**:
You will have a passion for working with people with disabilities with an understanding and commitment to a person-centered model of practice.
With previous experience in and knowledge of the disability services industry with a willingness to work a variety of shifts, with a variety of clients.
You will possess and an ability to work flexible hours, and meet the following essential criteria:
- Cert III Disability (or working towards), or experience in Disability Support
- Completion of the NDIS worker Orientation Module
- Reliable transportation for Community Access & Participation
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License
- Current positive notice Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)
Minimum 2 years’ experience with:
- Complex behaviours (high-needs experience essential)
- Intellectual impairment experience
- Experience with Manual Handling

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
