**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on **Manufacturing Manager** to lead our light steel framing manufacturing operations, utilising state-of-the-art **Framecad** technology. This role will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of our facility, including managing a team of 4-8 onsite production staff, overseeing budgets, ensuring the supply of materials, coordinating delivery of frames to construction sites, and maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational Leadership**
- Oversee the daily operation of the light steel framing production facility using the Framecad machine.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Manage and optimise workflow, from material supply to finished product delivery.

**Team Management**
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of 4-8 onsite manufacturing staff.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Foster a positive, safety-conscious, and productive work environment.

**Production & Quality Control**
- Maintain operational oversight of the Framecad system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement quality assurance processes to meet engineering specifications and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions where needed.

**Budget & Resource Management**
- Prepare and manage budgets for labour, materials, maintenance, and operational expenses.
- Monitor expenditure and implement cost-control measures.
- Maintain adequate stock of materials and consumables, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

**Logistics & Site Coordination**
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and completed frames to construction sites.
- Liaise with project managers and site supervisors to align production with construction schedules.

**Compliance & Safety**
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and operational reporting.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**:

- Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in steel framing or construction-related industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience recruiting and training staff.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of manufacturing machinery (Framecad experience highly desirable).
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Current driver’s licence.

**Desirable**:

- Trade qualification or engineering background in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction.
- Forklift licence.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
