About the Business Unit
The Finance business unit leads the department's efforts to ensure it operates within its means to achieve its priorities. It is responsible for the department's financial, budgetary and procurement strategies, policies and processes. The business unit also leads investment and performance analysis - a strengthened accountability agenda.
About the Role
The Finance Officer is responsible for providing informed financial advice and support to a wide variety of high-value or high-risk major infrastructure projects to the Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA).
The Finance Officer undertakes a range of financial functions across the full range of CSBA operations. This includes working in alignment with the department and CSBA's financial policies and processes. The Finance Officer will specifically undertake the accounts payable function and associated finance and administrative responsibilities.
About you
- Demonstrated high level experience in purchasing, accounts payable, procurement and contract management, within a Government Department or agency is preferable.
- Ability to effectively use workplace tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, including ability to handle purchasing matters, spreadsheets, and databases as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline is desirable.
