**Position Overview**

The Café Manager oversees the daily operations of CU29’s café, ensuring exceptional product quality, outstanding customer service, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for delivering a premium café experience that reflects CU29’s brand values.

**Key Responsibilities**

**_ Operational Management_**
- Oversee all café operations, including food and beverage preparation, presentation, and service.
- Ensure café readiness each day, maintaining cleanliness, stock levels, and equipment functionality.
- Implement and uphold CU29’s service standards, quality control measures, and operational procedures.

**_ Staff Leadership & Development_**
- Recruit, train, roster, and supervise café staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support staff development.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, respect, and accountability.

**_ Customer Experience_**
- Maintain a strong presence in the café, engaging with customers and resolving concerns promptly.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Promote CU29’s café offerings through excellent product knowledge and personalized recommendations.

**_ Financial & Inventory Management_**
- Monitor and manage café budgets, sales targets, and cost control measures.
- Oversee ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships to ensure operational efficiency and mínimal waste.
- Analyse sales reports to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

**_ Compliance & Safety_**
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, workplace health, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain compliance with WA’s workplace laws and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all incidents are reported and addressed.

**_ Marketing & Promotions_**
- Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute café promotions, seasonal offerings, and community events.
- Maintain a strong local presence through exceptional service and positive brand representation.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a café or hospitality management role.
- Certificate IV in Hospitality Management or equivalent (preferred).
- Proven track record in staff leadership, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Barista skills and in-depth coffee knowledge (required).
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and peak periods.
