About the opportunity

Jetstar is looking for a Contract Guarantees Specialist to join the Engineering Commercial team. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing supplier and seller contracts and ensuring all contractual remedies — including guarantees and rebates — are identified, tracked, and claimed in a timely manner. This is a highly collaborative role with both internal stakeholders and major global suppliers.

Reporting to the Manager, Warranty, Insurance and Commercial Recovery, you’ll take ownership of contractual scope, contribute to cost recovery across the Jetstar fleet, and support Engineering’s commercial performance through accurate reporting and reconciliation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Review contracts to identify and manage applicable guarantees, rebates, and cost recovery opportunities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Contract Guarantees database and associated reporting systems
- Provide technical and utilisation data to suppliers in line with contractual obligations
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to reconcile data, ensure agreement, and submit claims
- Deliver reporting and analytical support to Engineering Commercial, and help drive cost reduction through contractual remedies

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, or engineering (MCIPS or similar is a plus)
- Strong contract development or commercial experience, ideally within aviation or engineering
- High-level attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong data analysis and reporting experience, ideally using Excel or similar tools
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and supplier contracts
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
- A proactive and process-driven approach, with a focus on commercial outcomes
- Understanding of technical guarantees such as reliability or maintenance cost guarantees is desirable
