**The Role**

As Regulatory Relations Manager, you will be responsible for the proactive management of day to day interactions with our regulators, in particular ASIC and APRA.

You will work as part of a team dedicated to providing timely and accurate responses to regulatory requests, breach reporting, and responding to regulatory notices, and contribute to the effective management of our relationships with the regulators. You will also be the strategic advisor to our business on regulatory matters.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for proactive day to day management of our interactions with the regulators.
- Support the delivery of the Regulatory Engagement Framework and Procedures
- Co-ordinate the business response to Regulator requests (including Notices) with a focus on accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Project manage regulatory matters as required.
- Lodgement of Breach Notices with Regulator within prescribed timeframes.
- Assist with Board and Committee reporting and other reporting as required.
- Help drive and maintain a strong and resilient culture of risk and compliance across the business.
- Partner with Line 2 and the businesses to support the development of risk awareness for regulatory responses.

**To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess**:

- Postgraduate studies in Risk, Compliance and/or Finance (well regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance management roles in complex financial services organisations.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory framework as it applies to a complex Australian financial service provider.
- Experience preparing reports for Boards and committees.
- Requires detailed understanding of ASIC and APRA and relevant financial services laws and landscape in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role with exposure to superannuation is preferred.
- Sound ability to analyse and interpret complex regulations and propose improvements to processes as a result of legislative changes.
- Ability to drive change through regulatory compliance engagement with the business, systems, processes, and people.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation and remediation.
- Demonstrated skill and experience in building trusted relationships with Regulators and business.
- Ability to impart knowledge and analytical thinking.
- Ability to drive behavioural and mindset changes with key stakeholders.
