Provide person-centred care and support to clients with disability, mobility limitations, and high levels of supervision needs. The role focuses on maintaining safety, comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being, while collaborating with family members and the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
Provide respectful and safe assistance with showering, grooming, and dressing.
Follow the client’s preferred routines, including specific shower days or times.
Support clients with safe mobility, transfers, and positioning in accordance with care plans and mobility aids.
Maintain client comfort by following health-related instructions.
Promote regular hydration in line with the client’s care plan.
Prepare and offer refreshments or light snacks as appropriate.
Offer reassurance and emotional support if the client appears unsettled or distressed

Essential requirements:
NDIS Worker Screening Check

NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Current Driver's Licence

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patience and empathy
Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to different household routines
Physical capacity to provide mobility assistance and personal care

Qualifications:
Certificate III in Individual Support
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)

Desirable skills or experience:
Ability to speak Italian to support culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
Ability to speak Persian to support culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
Experience working with clients with dementia, cognitive decline, or high-support needs.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 20 per week
