About the Role:
GexaCare is seeking compassionate, reliable, and proactive Disability Support Workers to provide personalised support to a mother and daughter living together in a stable home environment. Both participants are NDIS-funded and require assistance with daily living tasks, community access, and maintaining a safe, supportive routine.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting two individuals with a strong family bond, each with their own goals and support needs. The role involves working across both in-home supports and community participation, ensuring consistency and promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Support participants to attend medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.

Assist with routines that promote health, wellbeing, and independence.

Encourage and facilitate social engagement, recreational activities, and skill development.

Follow individualised support plans and maintain clear, accurate documentation.

Respond calmly and effectively to any behaviours of concern, guided by Positive Behaviour Support strategies.

Work collaboratively with the GexaCare team, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

About You:
You are empathetic, patient, and understand the importance of empowering individuals to live life on their terms.

Experience supporting people with disabilities, particularly in a home environment, is highly regarded.

Comfortable supporting both adults and young people, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.

Confident in managing dynamic situations, including supporting participants with health complexities and behaviours of concern.

Strong communication skills and a commitment to building positive, respectful relationships.

Able to work a flexible roster, including weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings.

Essential Requirements:
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or relevant experience.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (WWCC).

First Aid and CPR certification.

Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (with comprehensive insurance).

Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred care.

Why Join GexaCare?

Be part of a supportive, passionate team that values consistency and high-quality care.

Ongoing training, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and professional development opportunities.

Work with an organisation that genuinely invests in both participants and staff wellbeing.
