**Company Description**
Since 2002, KordaMentha has been entrusted with some of the region’s most complex and sensitive commercial situations. We are an advisory and investment firm at heart, helping corporations, financiers, lawyers, private investors and government clients to grow, protect and recover value.
But we are so much more than that.
Fiercely independent, strategically local, and with a bias for action to get things done, we focus on doing what is right by our clients, our people, and the wider community. Our diverse experience - from finance and real estate to law enforcement and the c-suite - enables us to make a difference for our clients across financial crime, forensic, performance improvement, real estate, public sector and restructuring.
We provide bold and impactful solutions delivering growth, certainty, and value. There is strength in difference. And we are different.
We are looking for an Associate Director who has a passion for helping clients manage their risk, compliance, financial crime or regulatory challenges through data, advanced analytics and AI approaches and technologies. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that brings deep expertise in data sourcing, engineering, analytics methods and tools to the broader risk and transactions agenda.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Advise top-tier clients to help solve complex business problems across diverse industries through use of data, cloud, analytics and AI technologies.
- Play an integral role in leading and delivering a portfolio of large and complex projects whilst also supporting and driving sales initiatives within the business
- Develop data-driven strategies, analyse and integrate complex data sets and provide evidence-based actionable insights that align with business objectives. Design and implement complex data models, including those leveraging AI and Generative AI techniques, to identify, manage and prevent risk issues.
- Develop, lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through formal training programmes, on-the-job training, and coaching
- Collaborate with different service lines to identify business needs and devise data solutions, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Continue to drive ongoing growth in the business through development of staff as well as key client and service offering responsibilities, and build our presence in the market
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in data risk, usage and AI, including AI regulations, governance and safety in the market
**Qualifications**
- At least 6 years of experience in data analytics, model build and feature engineering in response to risk, compliance, financial crime or regulatory issues
- Proficient in data querying and manipulation using cloud-based SQL and NoSQL database technologies. Building visualisations in Power BI or Tableau is desirable but not mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in utilising modern MLOps/DevOps approaches to manage and deploy models at scale on Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP. Ability to prototype and bring models into production
- Robust understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques, with expertise in data science libraries and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch and strong command of programming languages such as Python or R
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise mature judgment
- Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity, navigate through change, and deliver results effectively
- Experience leading and developing teams on data programs of work
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated capability of managing multiple projects / work streams simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, artificial Intelligence, actuarial studies, mathematics or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated consulting experience in a Tier 1 or boutique consulting firm is preferred
