We are currently seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join a State Government Department for a temporary position. This position will be up to 6 month duration with an immediate start.

**General Duties**:
Assist in the development and coordination of communication plans to prepare site staff across the department

Develop and maintain key messages to support all phases of project implementation.

Assist in the development and coordination of communication plans

Assist in managing the development and production of a large range of communication materials (including electronic and print publications, promotional items, event collateral and online content) to

Assist with the internal communication activities including developing content for internal newsletter and site.

Coordinate communication initiatives for post activation to support staff with transition to ‘business as usual’ practices.

Foster and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers by regular collaboration and providing high quality advice.

**Desired Experience**:
Proven experience in the research, development and implementation of communication strategies.

Experience in planning and managing special events such as launches, community workshops, staff forums, presentations to very tight timelines.

Experience in managing the development and production of communications collateral such as publications, brochures, websites and promotional materials.

Experience in briefing and working collaboratively with a range of external organisations such as advertising agencies, graphic designers and market research organisations.

Experience in developing and implementing content for online platforms.
