The Office is tasked with a significant responsibility: bringing together a holistic, connected system for early childhood development across South Australia, with the goal of reducing the rate of children entering school developmental vulnerable from 23.8% to 15% over 20 years. Critical to this is the roll-out of universal 3-year-old preschool from 2026, giving every child access to 2 years of teacher-led, play-based early learning before school.

**About this Role**:
Are you ready to play a key role in coordinating quality control and process management for Cabinet, parliamentary, intergovernmental relations, and ministerial support services?

As the **Cabinet & Parliament Governance Officer**, you will be at the heart of supporting the Chief Executive and Minister with strategic advice, governance processes, and leadership coordination.

The Cabinet & Parliament Governance Officer will coordinate quality control and process management of Cabinet, parliamentary, Intergovernmental relations and Ministerial support services for the Office for Early Childhood Development. The position will engage across the staff and leadership of the Office for Early Childhood Development, and the Office of the Minister for Education, Training and Skills and other relevant departmental offices to ensure appropriate, high quality, timely advice is provided to the Chief Executive and Minister.

In this role, you will:

- Manage and coordinate Cabinet, parliamentary, and ministerial processes, ensuring timely and accurate advice and reports.
- Support internal communication, training, and development to meet quality and timing benchmarks.
- Provide high-level research, analysis, and quality assurance on materials for the Chief Executive.
- Facilitate critical interactions with stakeholders, including senior officials and government agencies.
- Help shape early childhood reform programs and policies that impact the community.

A person handling the role of Cabinet & Parliament Governance Officer at the Office for Early Childhood Development should possess a diverse skill set to manage the complex coordination, governance, and policy-related responsibilities.

**Remuneration**:
ASO5 $85, 790 -$95, 413 (1.0 FTE) per annum plus superannuation.
