About the RoleThe position requires a demonstration of high-level strategic leadership and managerial knowledge, skills and experience to drive service improvement and high value care inclusive of Social Work services, the Pastoral Care Service, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Hospital Liaison Officer Service.
The position acts as an expert level reference point for tertiary level Social Work services and models of care in Metro South Health, state-wide and nationally.
- Provide strategic clinical and professional leadership to deliver, improve, and evaluate Social Work clinical services, clinical education and research programs across a complex tertiary service in accordance with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and AASW Professional Practice Standards. - Lead and direct the clinical and professional governance standards and activities for Social Work services at PAH, social work in mental health (via the MSH Mental Health Professional Lead), and the Statewide Clinical Education Program Manager. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with allied health, nursing and medical professionals and other stakeholders within and beyond Metro South Health to progress strategic social work and multidisciplinary projects.
