**About you**
We are looking for a team player and organised SIL Team Leader ready to take the next step in their career.
The SIL Team Leader is responsible for providing efficient and effective supervision of all participants, who fall under Support Independent Living (SIL). The role will ensure the required work is carried out effectively from intake to transition, liaising with various stakeholders and the team. Additionally, maintaining a positive and long-term relationship with internal and external relations and handling any concerns that may arise.
**Qualifications**
- Understanding of the NDIS and Disability Industry
- Preferred however not required, experience in rostering
- Willing to work outside of standard office hours
- Driver’s License with access to a car
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong project management and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and guide individuals and teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can accomplish tasks without direction.
**As the Team Leader, your role will include but not be limited to the following**
- Provide person-centred case management, including assessment and care planning;
- Prepare detailed reports, or provide data within the area of your responsibility for the Company’s use;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of systems that ensure Support Staff are able to deliver desired outcomes for participants, including systems to support planning, budgetary, resource management, risk management and quality assurance functions, within the role’s scope;
- Interpret participant data, including whole system analysis, to identify appropriate actions to meet participant interests at a whole service or group level;
- Lead complex negotiations and discussions with family members, medical services, activity services, police and other community services to support planning for future participant requirements and to negate any possible risks;
- Communicate effectively with community agencies, health care practitioners, government departments and advocacy groups on matters requiring a detailed understanding of disability policy objectives;
- Work with external relations to resolve day-to-day issues and direct them to appropriate resources;
- Liaise with House Managers to ensure day-to-day process within the group home run smoothly; provide weekly catch-ups;
- Provide continuous supervision, support and mentoring to Support Staff;
- Ensure Support Staff have a platform to openly communicate and/or debrief with SIL Team Leader;
- Prepare rosters and schedules to support participant requirements;
- Participate in an after-hours rotating roster via a designated phone device, respond to calls and messages from internal and external relations. When required service visits will need to be input and/or adjusted.
